Vehicle Crime

Alert message sent 14/09/2017 20:16:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Dear Residents

Please be aware that we have seen a sharp rise in theft from motor vehicles not only in the Biggleswade area but county wide.

Items stolen include tools, passports, wallets and purses.  We have also had reports of children's car seats being stolen.  We recommended that ALL valuables are removed from vehicles as once offenders are inside your car or van they can easily access glove compartments and under seats.

Extra patrols are being made to deter offenders but please take the time to make sure your vehicles are left safe and secure, ideally in a garage or a well lit area.

Remember, if you see anything suspicious please call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
