It was reported that a garden shed had been broken into over the weekend.  The lock had been forced open in some way.  The door was then closed and jammed shut that prevented the gardener gaining access this morning.  The gardener had to apply further force to the door to achieve access and discovered that a petrol-powered pressure washer was missing.

One of the housekeepers was going out the back door to dispose of some rubbish, at the door, she found a young man with his hand on the back door about to enter the premises. This man was not known to us at Shottermill so she enquired as to what he wanted. The man turned around and got on his bike and cycled off down our driveway.

The housekeeper then went back towards the kitchen and staff room where she saw that he was trying to remove a handbag from the staff room windowsill via a slightly opened window; the housekeeper shouted and he dropped the bag leaving it half way out of the window, he cycled off.

The young man was tall, slim built in mid to late 20's. he has blonde /mousy coloured hair, was wearing a navy blue coat and greyish jeans and was riding a red and white framed bike.
