Theft from motor vehicle offences

Alert message sent 28/12/2017 09:04:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Good morning,

Unfortunately on the 20th December we had 5 theft from motor vehicle offences reported to us in the Stotfold area. These have all happened in hours of darkness and the offenders have taken a range of power tools and also a set of number plates.

When leaving your vehicles unattended please ensure they are locked and secure with no valuables left inside. If you are able to, park in a well lit area and install CCTV to your properties where possible. UV pens are very handy for marking valuables up, mark with your house number and postcode and if they are ever recovered we examine them with a UV light, detect where they have been taken from and return them to their rightful owners.

If you see any suspicious activity then please call us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
