Alert message sent 19/01/2018 07:39:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Dear All,

You may have seen officers chasing after a young male yesterday morning from the Bromham Road area, through town and up to Derby Place.
PCSO 4649 Bevis-Mott from the Community Policing Team based at Lime Street carried out intelligence led foot patrol in the Chaucer Road area relating to drug supply. A young male believed to be in possession of drugs fled the location and he gave chase through the town. The PCSO and CCTV kept sight of him and officers from our Lime Street office gave chase stopping and searching him in Derby Place. The male was found in possession of a knife and a very large quantity of cash which he was unable to account for and was arrested after a struggle. This male was later charged and remanded in custody to court this morning.

Kind regards,

PC 6301 Adam Horsman
