Theft From Motor Vehicles

Alert message sent 27/06/2018 09:32:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

There has been an increase in reports of Theft from Motor Vehicle across the county, however Biggleswade appears to be heavily targetted.
In some instances items of value have been left on display and the vehicles have been left unlocked with windows open due to the hot weather.

Please can we remind you to lock and secure your vehicle even if parked on the drive.
Do not leave any items of value anywhere in the vehicle.
Remove any leads, wire, or holders that may suggest there is something worth stealing somewhere inside the vehicle.
Make sure on modern vehicles you see the hazard lights flash and hear the locking mechanism before leaving your vehicle.
