Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

On Monday 8th April, Inspector Annita Clarke and PCSO Zara Pryce invited the local residents, business owners and councillors of the North West area to contribute to the discussion regarding the allocation of the next three month policing priorities. During this really well attended meeting the votes from those attending were counted to establish the local priorities for the north west Luton area until July, when the next meeting will take place. Below are the votes that took place and the top three have been chosen
1)      Gangs and guns – majority vote from the whole community -56/56.
2)      Speeding/ASB – 40/56 voted for us to keep this priority.
3)      Drugs – 39/56 voted for this to be a new priority for us.
4)      Burglary took 24/56 votes.
5)      Vehicle Crime took 4/56 votes.
Inspector Clarke would like to thank all who took part in the decision making as it enables the community to contribute to the policing of their area
