New Community priority for Kempston

Alert message sent 27/06/2019 16:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Dear Residents,

We just wanted to update you with the results from last quarter’s priority which was theft from motor vehicles and let you know about the new priority which was chosen by residents and councillors as anti-social behaviour in parks. We had a large increase in theft from motor vehicles in Kempston between the end of November and the beginning of March- 83 in total. With the arrest of a prolific offender and residents taking our advice on board and making sure vehicles are locked with no property left in them we managed to get this number down to 29! Please don’t become complacent but do continue to spread the word and prevent yourself from becoming a victim of this crime.

The new priority of anti-social behaviour will focus on Addison Howard park, Balliol Road park and Lovat Walk play area. If you have any information regarding anti-social behaviour going on in the parks in Kempston, please do reply to this email and let us know. If you witness any incidents involving anti-social behaviour in parks you can report this by calling 101 or using our online reporting tool on the Bedfordshire Police website. Whilst we might not always be able to attend, your reports will hep us to establish what, where and when ASB is going on and focus our patrols in the right places at the right times.

Kind regards,

Kempston Community Policing team
