Crime Update

Alert message sent 16/07/2019 08:52:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Dear Residents,

On review of all crimes in the last 28 days across the Flitwick, Ampthill and Silsoe Community Policing Area (of which you all fall under) it would appear that since my last update regarding Burglaries of garages, there have been no further recorded similar offences. There has, however, been a continuance of business premises being broken into where tools appear to be targetted.

Tradesmen and keen DIY'ers should still consider property marking expensive tools and putting measures in place to deny access to where they are stored.

Offences over the past 28 days are up by 15 offences to 192 in comparison to the previous 28 days at 177, but with no largely discernable pattern. Serious Acquisitive Crime is a relatively small portion of this at 27 offences.

Kind Regards,
PC Dagley
