Visual Audit completed to tackle ASB

Alert message sent 06/08/2019 14:51:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Hi all,

Officers along with local partners inclusive of Councillors, Church Wardens and groundsman from Goldington Cricket Club conducted an Environmental Visual Audit as a result of an identified hotspot location for ASB. A further detailed report can be found below should this be of interest for you.

Firstly I will start with St Marys Church, I said yesterday that I have hypothetically given this a Gold Star in terms of security and as such have no recommendations now as a result of the audit. I have since passed on the findings to our Community Safety Team who oversee the EVAS and have emphasised the standard set.Secondly the findings for Bury Court have now been collated and  the relevant correspondence has been sent to BPHA regarding considerations for actioning. Furthermore, contact has also been made with the council as there had been mention of a street lighting improvement project being ran, so hopefully this area can be reviewed. Lastly the Cricket Ground, Discussions were held around boundary security as this seemed to be the main focus with un desired persons gaining access, loitering and damaging equipment. I have tied in with the community ranger who will hopefully be sourcing some crime preventative solutions which will provide reassurance to those using the grounds.

Many thanks,
