Working with Rural Community

Alert message sent 18/08/2020 16:32:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Yesterday showed the importance of our Rural community working with the Police.

Information via our NFU Whats'App Groups of suspected stolen John Deere Gators found dumped at a local Farm in Bedfordshire was picked up by Rural Officers, logged with the Force Control Room, resulting in members of the Rural Crime Team with local knowledge attending.

Fantastic work between Farmers, and Beds Police Rural that resulted in the 2 Gators being recovered less than 24 hours after being stolen in Northants. Rural Officer in Northants notified, machinery recovered to be collected by the rightful owners who were located via Data Tag ID, and enquiries ongoing.

Thank you to our local Farmers and community - more machines that can be put back to work with their owners. Great work showing importance of public support.
