Community priority update

Alert message sent 10/09/2020 13:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Good afternoon dear Community,

This community priority has been on-going now since November 2019. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic the Central Community Teams focus on this priority has been reduced. However, the team have managed to conduct various enforcement and prevention strategies in order to reduce the issues surrounding drug dealing in the Biscot/Bury Park wards. This targeting has resulted in multiple intelligence led stop and searches, arrests and drug seizures. A number of warrants have also been completed following intelligence linking them and the occupants to drug dealing. Partnership working alongside the local authority has also seen great work to provide support and guidance to drug users. The new local Community Priority will now begin from 01/09/20. The details for this priority have been obtained from the ‘Have your say’ data. This data has shown that Controlled Drug Supply is still a concern for the residents of the Biscot/Bury Park ward. This priority will therefore remain open for the next three months.

Kind regards,
Officer 7537
