New Community Priority- Burglary

Alert message sent 05/10/2020 13:45:00

Information sent on behalf of Bedfordshire Police

Dear Citizen,

It has been decided along with local councillors that the new community priority for Kempston is burglary. We have had a slight increase in this type of crime recently so we shall be focusing on crime prevention advice, patrolling any hotspot areas and liaising with our intelligence department to make sure we are pursuing any known burglary offenders in the area. Below are some details of burglaries that have happened in the Kempston area in the last week. Please remain vigilant and make sure you are not making your home and outbuildings easy targets.

29/09/20- The Sycamores- entered via a kitchen window at the rear of the property.

03/10/20- Chantry Road- Entered via a locked kitchen door at the rear of the property, laptop taken.

03/10/20- Marlborough Park- burglary of unlocked shed, tools and pressure washer taken.

Please take some time to look through the attached advice around preventing burglary.

Kind regards,

Kempston Community Policing Team
