Walk through covid19 testing site

Alert message sent 17/12/2020 17:53:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Last weekend my wife and I were planning to visit our daughter`s home and form a " Childcare Bubble of two households" to help as she had recently given birth to a 5 week old premature baby boy. Though both are health wise doing well.

A friend of my wife told her about the walk through test centre located in the University Technical Centre car park on Felpham Way, at which a prior booking is not required.

Last Saturday afternoon (12th Dec) we decided to visit the test centre and within a matter of minutes had the test and then received both our negative results by mobile phone on Monday morning (14th Dec). In fact we were the only people being tested when we were there , ie it was empty apart from test staff

My reason for using the Alert bulletin is that since having the covid test the majority of people I have have discussed this were unaware, like we were, that this local test facility existed.

With the five day Christmas relaxation enabling three families being able to mix indoors there may be others who would consider having a test and receiving the results before the Christmas break when they may be mixing indoors with other family members.

Stay safe and healthy
