Celebrating Neighbourhood Watch 40Th Anniversary With A Grant

Alert message sent 05/03/2022 19:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

Applications for our Spring funding round are now open, closing on 31st March. We want to help you kickstart, improve or expand your community work as part of Neighbourhood Watch. For this round, 100% of available funds will go towards activities or one-off development projects that help your group or association promote and support Neighbourhood Watch's 40th Anniversary (see below for 40 ideas if you need some inspiration).

The size of grant you can apply for in the Spring round is between £100 - £250. Groups can only hold one grant at a time and only hold one grant in each financial year. The grant will need to be spent by the year end of 2022. Groups are defined as: schemes, areas, districts or associations, e.g. several schemes can hold grants within an association, and that association can also hold its own grant, but all projects or applications must be clearly defined and separate from each other.

We are thrilled to share 40 actions to inspire you to engage with your community. These activities can be done at any point, but we encourage you to plan one or two during Neighbourhood Watch Week, 30th May – 5th June. Our 40 YEARS, 40 ACTIONS Pack can be downloaded now, and more information on each activity can be found on the links below (or by clicking on each activity in the pack).

Pick and choose the ones that work for you and your community. The 40 actions range from easy to hard, free to expense required, and online to face-to-face. They are designed to support you to:
raise crime prevention awareness
build more inclusive local networks
develop community cohesion
improve community environment and wellbeing
Each activity has some information or linked resources to support you to get started, and we will add to these over the coming months.

If you plan to do one, two or more of the actions, we encourage you to let us know by emailing Remember to take photos and videos of your activities and we’d love you to share those with us!

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we will share stories, pictures and videos that show the inspirational, wide range of things our volunteers do to help raise crime prevention awareness and support communities throughout England and Wales.

You still have time to let us know if you or another person has volunteered with Neighbourhood Watch for 5 year's or more.  Our categories are: 5+ years, 10+ years, 25+ years and 40 years. You can nominate as many people as you like by completing the online form

The deadline for nominations is Sunday 13th March 2022,

Best wishes,
