Bedford & District Neighbourhood Watch produces newsletters four times a year, following our Quarterly Members meetings (dates and times are on our 'Events' page). These newsletters, containing information and a resume of the content of the members's meeting, are sent electronically to all registered members.
It is designed to keep all members updated with news and any changes to our network.
Every month, Bedford & District Neighbourhood Watch produces an average of 1,000 paper 'Alert Leaflets' for distribution to homes in areas where there has been a spate of criminal activity, mainly burglary and vehicle crime. These are produced in conjunction with our Partners, Bedfordshire Police, Fire Service and Borough Council.
This section includes copies of the Alert documents we have issued so far.
This document provides a guide to all members in our Association. It has been designed to help coordinators and members to have a better understanding of what Neighbourhood Watch is and its aims. The Handbook provides safety and security advice for you, your family, neighbours and friends. It also contains advice on the various roles within the organisation and you will find important guidelines there, including our Data Protection guidelines. It provides resources and support for Coordinators who want to develop their schemes.
All new members are informed about the handbook in their welcome letter sent to them on registering and encouraged to read it.
Crime Reduction Guide
Bedfordshire Police have produced a very useful interactive crime reduction guide which can be viewed on the above link.
